This walk will take you to lake Åndervatnet in the heart of Ånderdalen National Park. The route begins 40 meters before the bridge across the river from lake Kolkjerkavatnet almost at the bottom of Gjeska in Sifjord (Middle of the above image.) The trail goes steeply up along the river and past the waterfalls. Then you have moderately steep terrain, easy underfoot to the east past the
characteristic Kolkjerka (Coal-church) in the south. After that the path descends towards lake Kapervatnet before turning south down to Åndervatnet.
At the outset you can also see Kvænan between Gjeska and Flakstadvåg (Senjas
3. highest mountain.)

Upper left: Kolkjerka and underneath it, to the left Kvænan. The below image shows Kolkjerka, the path goes left of the mountain.

If you leave the trail and follow the ridge southwards from the highest point of the walk towards Kolkjerka, you can go down to idyllic lake Kolkjerkavatnet. Behind the ridge to the right is lake Henrikshov.
