Aanderdalen
From Hyttekroa Caravan and Camping Park in Tranøybotn a path leads through Aanderdalen National Park to lake Aandervatnet.

Estimated walking time there and back 6 hours, easy and flat terrain.

Gjeska - Aandervatnet
From Gjeska in Sifjorden to Kapervatnet and Aandervatenet. This path leads through Ånderdalen National Park to lake Åndervatnet from vest.

Kongsneshaugen
From the bottom of Grunnfarnes bay a path ascends to (the Great Lake). If you choose to continue up the tree-clad slope you will be rewarded with a magnificent view over Torsken and the Torskenfjord.

Svannova
If you wade Svanelva river in the middle of Svanelvdalen (Svan river valley) and walk up Svannova, a ridge going into the Svanfjella mountains, you will get a great view over Bergsbotn bay.

Spekelvaksla
Cross Tromdalselva river in the bottom of Straumsbotn bay and follow the waymarked  trail south  before turning right.

Astritinden
A great walk on Norhern Senja with a spectacular view of Kvaløya and further northwards. Wonderful to do at night, in the light of the
midnight sun.


Estimated 3 hours up and down. Moderately steep, easy underfoot, but quite steep going up to the summit.

Sjursviktinden
Enjoy the breathtaking scenery seen from the outmost part of Southern Senja. From the summit, 837 m. above sea level, you get an exellent view southwards to Andfjorden and Andøya.

Blåfjellkollen
A walk  in dramatic scenery on Southern Senja. The trail starts in Jøvika and leads through  easy terrain to the waterfall below lake Storelvvatnet and further up to the summit.

Martamostevatnet
Go to lake Lysevatnet and follow the pipeline up to lake Lappegamvatnet. Go past lake Mellomvatnet and turn south. At the start of Lake Svartholvatnet you will find Martamostevatnet.

4 hours there and back, steep at first, then easy terrain.

Lutvatnet
Like the walk to Blåfjellkollen, this walk starts in Jövika on Southern Senja. In stead of turning upwards to the summit,  you continue towards the ocean between lake Langvatnet and lake Blåfjellkollvatnet to Lutvatnet.


4 hours there and back, easy underfoot, good terrain.

Olaheimen-Bonkan-Rødsand
Between Å and Rödsand on Southern Senja there is a tractor path leading from Olaheimen to Lake Store (Great) Bunkevatnet. From there you will find a path across Bunkeheia (heath) and down to Selfjorden. From here it is a nice walk along the seashore to Rödsand.

2/3 hours one way, easy underfoot..

Förste Svanfjellet
First Swan-mountain. From the start of Kaperdalen valley (coming from Finnsnes) you can easily reach Förste Svanfjellet mountain. The climb is gradual and your reward will be a magnificent view of Tranöya island and the mountains of outer Senja.

4 hours (there and back) A bit steep, but gradual climb.

Blyfjordvatnet
From Buvika, a few kilometers past Å on Southern Senja, a path leads up to lake Blyfjordvatnet. The path continues along the lake on the north side. The terrain here is made difficult by boulders across the path. Nice view towards Andöya and Andenes.

3 hours (there and back). Easy up to the lake, then rocky with boulders along the lake.

Stangodden/Stangnes
A nice walk for the whole family any time of year. In summertime you will find good beaches and coves where you can enjoy a campfire.

Raudaksla
In Tromsdalen, the marked trail leads north, if you follow it a few hundred meters and turn left, you will find a path following the ridge up onto Raudaksla.


4 hours (there and back) A bit steep at the beginning, then easy.
